About The Film
Taak is a short film set in a near-future Delhi, where a former wrestling champion turned bouncer is tasked with enforcing invasive smartwatches after a security breach. What begins as a safety protocol quickly reveals more sinister implications — raising urgent questions about surveillance, control, and bodily autonomy.
Haq Charcha Panel
After the screening, join us for a conversation that brings the film’s themes into the real world. Our panel features voices who are shaping the future of justice, technology, and human rights:
Why This Matters
This isn’t just a film screening. It’s a space to reflect on the world we’re building — where art, technology, and everyday realities meet. A gathering for those who are curious, concerned, and ready to engage with the questions that shape our future.
Whether you’re a policy nerd, a tech skeptic, an activist, a film buff, or just someone curious about where this world is headed — we hope to see you there.
Bring a friend. Bring questions. Bring the future!
P.S. We’ve also got fresh IFF stickers and postcards up for grabs after the screening— perfect for your laptop, fridge, or anywhere you need a little flair. Come get them on the day of the event or sign up as a member to get them delivered right to your doorstep!
